The Capitoline is a six-residence limestone building four blocks east of the Capitol, a short walk from the Library of Congress and Eastern Market. This is a parlor-floor apartment of two bedrooms and two baths, with a front-to-back plan and south-facing light.
The building was converted from a single-family residence in 1948, and the original plaster and millwork survive in the principal rooms. The kitchen was reconfigured by Keener in 2021.
Eliza oversees the firm's portfolio of pre-war buildings. A former preservation consultant, she treats every restoration question as one part archive research, one part patient listening to the house itself.
